ABOUT

Philosophy

As educators we recognise the tremendous importance of the early childhood years as the foundation to life learning and the importance of our role as early childhood educators in supporting, nurturing and facilitating growth and development of children.

We believe;

  • children are capable learners

  • When children feel connected and respected, they become their best

  • children are worth listening to

Here at Rona Glynn, we run a play-based learning program. We believe that this provides a context for learning through which children can organise and make sense of their world as they actively engage with people, objects and their environment.

At Rona Glynn, we place an extremely high value on the environment in the early learning context. For this reason, careful planning and design of the space is considered to allow for rich and authentic learning experiences.

Partnerships with families provide us with valuable information about a child's culture and heritage. We strive to build relationships with families based on co-operation and mutual respect for the reciprocal roles each play in the lives of the child. We value the contributions that families can bring to our setting and encourage parents to come and speak to our staff if you feel you can participate in some way.
